Another quote from Baba Farid, who’s known as “Ganj-i Shakar (Bunch of Sugar)”.
Conceal your good deeds with the same diligence you use to conceal your bad deeds.

“Not every heart is capable of finding the Secret of God’s Love.
There are not pearls in every sea; there is not gold in every mine.”
How will we know if our hearts have the capacity to find that Secret if we don’t make any effort toward piousity?

My definition of “Revelation” is a sudden intuitive eye/mind opening, a cloud or veil lifted, an understanding of something not previously understood nor thought. A Gift, either momentarily, temporally or permanently Given to anyone whom God wants. These days the word “Epiphany” is used for the same phenomenon, though I think it’s mainly due to [...]
When you grow old, and to life’s close progress,
When you regret how you’ve lack success,
Then only, driven by gloom in excess,
Will you at last for God your love profess.

“It Wasn’t Me”

How times have changed and, in some cases, I don’t think for the better. Today’s mantra is “It wasn’t me.” From young to old I hear the words: “Someone else caused my problems, someone else is at fault” – rarely do we hear. “Yes, I did it and I’m sorry.”
Long ago, and maybe in some [...]
